I Just Got a Prophetic Word! Now What?

I love prophetic words. So does God! He willing gives them out to his people. But it is important to realize that a prophetic word is revealing potential.  It doesn’t mean it will just happen.

This word starts out in your spirit like an incubator.  How you carry and treasure that impregnation – word – inside of you determines what comes of the word. We have to want the word or it can be aborted. We have to get in right position to see the manifestation of the word. While all this is going on the devil will try to do whatever he can to keep you from dreaming, from expanding, from believing it will ever happen. He will try to create a hostile environment around you that says it is hopeless, give up, it will never happen.

Why is there a delay between the word and the ‘birth’ of the word? When God gives you a word you are never the person you need to be to live out the word.  He gets you excited with the word and when you say yes it starts the journey with him to enable that word to become true in your life.  When you agree with Him He impregnates the vision inside of you with a piece of Him. He deposits something that wasn’t there before and then He prepares the vessel to be someone who can fulfill the word.

Agree with the word, never give up on the word, keep obeying God’s voice on everything even if it seems small and before you know it you will be in the right place, at the right time, and be the right person to see the word birthed from potential to reality.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NIV)
