Winners have a Positive Attitude

Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win. 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NLT)

Many Christians live their lives as if it’s a lottery system. They hope someday their lucky number will be called and they will win big. Unfortunately this is not true. To win you have to run the race of life according to God’s guidelines.

In God’s kingdom everybody has equal opportunity. We don’t all have the same gifts, education, or background, but with God it doesn’t matter. His equality of opportunity is He wants to work through you to make up the difference. God has given you everything you need if you’ll work and seek Him out..

Here is one trait about winners I want to share with you today:

Winners Have a Positive Attitude About the Future

This positive attitude is not based on a blind optimism but an acknowledgement God is in control and you are in his loving hands.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Rom 8:28 (NLT)

Winners are positive because they believe God can continue to work through them and pull them out of whatever situation they may be in. They are not negative, they are not complainers, they are not whiners, like the Israelites in the desert. They are positive. They are like Joshua who saw the potential of going into the new land. Sure he saw the giants, he didn’t ignore the giants, but he saw the potential. He had the attitude of Yes, I may not be able to do it, but God can.

A positive attitude is a choice you make everyday. It is thinking, Am I going to make my attitude reflect what is going on around me or what is going on above me in heaven!

Your Attitude is not Determined by Your Circumstances but You! This is the difference between winners and losers!!!

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21
