Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21 (NIV)

When you live your life according to God’s plan by the power of the Holy Spirit THIS IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD. You are living in your domain by the King’s commands. The kingdom of God is not an event that will suddenly happen in the future. It is now!

But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Luke 11:20 (NIV)

It’s that simple? Yes. It is often hard to live out the King’s commands but the concept is simple. When the Holy Spirit came to earth after the resurrection of Jesus the Kingdom was born. It is now growing as each Christian lives for the king. When you became a Christian the Kingdom came inside of you and then by the grace of the Holy Spirit the Kingdom moves from inside of you to the outside world. The Kingdom is inside of you wanting to get.
When you are born you get a physical DNA. It contains the pattern for everything you will be in your physical body. It is your destiny and you can’t change it. When you are born again you get a spiritual DNA. It contains the pattern for everything you will be in your spiritual life. It contains everything you need. It is your destiny, you can’t change it but you can deny it. Your spiritual future exists inside of you just like your physical DNA exists inside of you. You are a carrier of destiny inside of you.

He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; Ecclesiastes. 3:11b (NIV)

If you let your present circumstances dominate, infiltrate, and govern your life you are empowering your present circumstances to continue! But if you let faith and your words be motivated by what God has promised it will change the atmosphere around you. The kingdom of God will be released and influence your world!
