I love we.
I love having a group of friends I can relax with.
I love being a part of a team in ministry that is making a difference.
I love working with my colleagues making great software.
But we is not enough.
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Matthew 7:21-23 (NLT)
Did you notice the word we above in the verse?
There are times we is good – especially in teams accomplishing something like this verse is describing.
But in the end we need more than we. The word that we need is you.
Did you notice the word you in the verse above?
Jesus did not say we was bad it is just not you.
In the end we cannot relate to God as a part of a group. It is not enough to be a part of a great team. It is not enough to attend a large city shaking church. God wants more than this. He wants to know you and not which group you belong too.
The word know means the Father wants to know you intimately.
Pursue we. It’s important to the people who get delivered and receive miracles. But pursue you first.
Excellent revelation; I thank you!
Excellent revelation, yes we do walk as a team but Jan thanks you.
