How to Know God’s Will

How to Know God's Will - b&w

God wants you to know His will! Listed below are 6 steps of guidance in descending order that you should take in finding His will. Start with step 1 and end at step 6. If any steps are not met then don’t go in the direction you are considering.

1. Bible

Is it Biblical?

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

2. Voice

What is God Saying to You?

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27(NIV)

3. Counsel

What do Wise People Say?

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed” Prov. 15:22 (KJV)

4. Circumstances

Are ‘Doors’ Open or Closed?

Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. Acts 16:6-10 (NIV)

5. Desire

What is your Desire?

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalms 37:4

6. Peace

Do You Have Peace?

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from the Christ rule (act as an umpire continually) in your hearts — deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds — [in that peaceful state] to which [as members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful — appreciative, giving praise to God always.” Colossians 3:15, (Ampl)
