I’m on a Highway to Hell

Have you ever heard the secular song Highway to Hell? It was considered one of the most demonic songs ever when it came out in 1979 sung by the rock band AC/DC. I was 19 then and the song went on to become a mega hit in the West.

Here is part of the song:

I’m on my way to the promised land
I’m on the highway to hell…

No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody’s gonna slow me down

In all truth it was a very demonic song. But I am proposing that it become the theme song of Christians.

OK, I probably just lost half the subscribers to this blog with that statement. With the half that is left think about this.

We teach Christians that we are on a straight and narrow road to heaven. That is true. But before we die let’s do what Jesus said Peter was going to do in Matthew 16:18 – Storm the Gates of Hell!

Wouldn’t it be awesome to be a part of a group of radical, supernatural, bold, wise, passionate believers  bringing the true promised land at full speed to people’s hell?

Just the thought makes me shudder.

Wait a minute, maybe that was hell shuddering.

  1. 🙂 It wouldn’t have been so bad if the church newsletter hadn’t cut off right before “I probably just lost half the subscribers to this blog with that statement.”

  2. 🙂 Good Point. Accidental actually. I wish I was that good!
