Summary: 2024 was the year to walk through the door opened by God. 2025 is the year to occupy the new room you have walked into.

September 2024 started the new Jewish Year 5784. It means Open Door.

Doors are for people to walk through as God opens them. God in 2024 opened doors for us to new opportunities which didn’t always look like a door but they were. Whenever he invites you into something new it looks like an obstacle course sometimes, but it is really an opportunity.

God invited all of us to leave where we were at, drop some things, add some things, and walk across the threshold into a new room. A new room with new dimensions, furniture, color and vistas. 

Many people walked across this threshold. Many did not. They liked the room they were in and didn’t want a change of view. There were also others who got ‘hung up’ on the threshold and haven’t made it across because of fear, lack of commitment, not wanting to pay the cost, or something else.

In the end, they saw what it would cost them to move from one room to the other they decided it wasn’t worth the price. 

Can you identify? Walking through a door is not like walking through a field or even a wide garage door. You can’t bring everything you own through the door. You have to leave some things behind. This could be your way of doing things, preferences, even some relationships. It is costly to change rooms in the Spirit. Many times we like the life that we have made in our room. We are content here. We don’t want to change. So we don’t.

This is our choice. But there are people who appreciate what God has done for them, but they realize that not all of heaven has come into the earth yet (Matthew 6:33). They are content where they are at, but they hunger for more and are willing to move forward. This is how the kingdom moves in the earth.

I believe you are one of those who said yes and walked through the door, shedding or picking up what you were instructed to do. So what happens in 2025?

People can’t walk through open windows. But Holy Spirit can blow through open windows into a room like the wind blows through a window. 

John 3:8 (NLT) The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

For those that said yes and followed Holy Spirit into new rooms, Holy Spirit is going to blow on you with new energy, strategy, ideas, and anointing. It is time to occupy the room, land, area he is giving us. It is time to move forward.

Go forward in confidence this year and occupy the new room he has lead you into. It is time!
